What we do

As a trade union we have one clear goal – to support our members.

With a dedicated team of experienced trade union representatives across the country, we pride ourselves on our ability to provide compassionate advice and stand up for our members in difficult times.

As a small union, we are able to support our members every step of the way, aiming to achieve resolution through strong negotiation.

From challenging unfair disciplinary and discrimination to low wages and poor working conditions, Employees United is here to protect your rights in the workplace.

Our history

Employees United was founded in 2011 by a group of black independent trade union activists from across the country who would meet regularly at national conferences. They were frustrated by the the lack of action on equal representation and diversity within their own unions. With equality and fair representation for all workers at its core, Employees United was formed.

Employees United is a general trade union, we represent workers from all sectors, professions and backgrounds.

Better treatment.

Unionised workers do less unpaid overtime and enjoy longer paid holidays.

“I would highly recommend Employees United, it was my first time ever using the Union for advice and I must say the level of service provided was exceptional. I instantly felt reassured and confident after speaking with the Union.”
